Bridging the Gaps award for a project titled “Applying Mobile GIS techniques to the Authoring of Location-Based Experiences” with Computer Science
The specific aims of this research include:
• Investigate automated schematization and map generalization techniques for location based experiences
• Visualise the characteristics of the underlying wireless infrastructures (e.g. GPS, Wi-Fi, GSM) using techniques from both fields (GIS and Computer Science)
• Define a workflow for authors of location-based experiences
