Professor Peijun Du got his Ph.D degree on Geomatics Engineering in 2001, and was appointed as the professor of photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Science in July, 2006. Prof Peijun’s research fields include Remote Sensing applications to land cover change, environmental processes, landscape and urban heat island, Hyperspectral Remote Sensing information processing and applications, novel Remote Sensing classifiers and classification methods (including SVM, ANN, object-oriented classification, etc), Remote Sensing information fusion and intelligent processing, and integration of Remote Sensing with other Geospatial technologies for multidisciplinary applications.
Prof Peijun’s visit is supported by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and will last for one year. During this visit he will conduct some collaborative researches in Geospatial science and technology field with staff at CGS.
